My whole team has been passing this around at training. Two of them have ordered their own. The Maximus speaks for itself.
The willow quality is immediately obvious. Close straight grains and a ping that turns heads at the nets. Premium feel throughout.
Really impressed overall. Took about three weekends to knock in properly but the result is a genuine weapon. Worth the patience.
Compared it with bats costing far more and the Maximus matched them. SS know what they're doing with this profile. Love it.
The pickup on this defies physics. Massive profile but feels like a much smaller bat. Timing has never been easier.
Bought for grade cricket here in Sydney. Handles the bouncy wickets beautifully, the mid-low sweet spot is perfect for driving.
Quality bat. Grip wore a little faster than I'd like but that's an easy fix. The performance off the middle is outstanding.
Third SS bat and the Maximus is the best of them. The extended sweet spot forgives mishits and rewards good timing with boundaries.
Straight grains, clean face, and that classic SS shape. The semi-oval handle gives great control. Best bat I've owned.
The balance is what amazes me. Big edges, big spine, yet it feels so light in the hands. Bat speed has genuinely improved.
Beautiful bat. Takes a proper knocking in, don't rush it. Once ready, the ball absolutely rockets off the middle. Very happy.
Heard about the Maximus from mates in the Indian cricket community here in Melbourne. Lives up to every bit of the hype. Ping is outrageous.
This is basically the same profile as SS's top players bats at a fraction of the cost. Same shape, same power. Incredible value for grade 1 willow.
Upgraded from an SG to this and the difference is huge. The mid-low sweet spot suits my front foot game perfectly. Superb willow.
The Maximus profile is legendary for a reason. High spine, massive concave edges, and it still picks up like a feather. Drives fly off it.
